मनिष पण्डित चलचित्र विकास बोर्डको नयाँ अध्यक्षमा नियुक्तManish Pandit Named Film Development Board Chairman
मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले मनिष पण्डितलाई चलचित्र विकास बोर्डको अध्यक्षमा नियुक्त गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। असोज ३० गते शुक्रबार बसेको बैठकले उनको नाम टुंगो लगाएको हो।
अध्यक्ष पदका लागि ११ जनाले आफ्नो व्यावसायिक कार्ययोजना पेस गरेका थिए। तीमध्ये सञ्चार तथा सूचना प्रविधि मन्त्रालयले पण्डितसहित नरेशकुमार पौडेल र निशा अधिकारीलाई अन्तिम तीनमा छनोट गरेको थियो।
बोर्डमा बक्सअफिस प्रणाली लागू गर्ने प्रक्रियामा पण्डितको संलग्नता रहेको थियो। बोर्डकी तत्कालीन अध्यक्ष निकिता पौडेलको कार्यकालमा बक्सअफिस सफ्टवेयर भित्र्याउन पनि उनले भूमिका खेलेका थिए।
पछिल्लो समय पण्डित राजनीतिक वृत्तमा पनि चर्चामा छन्। गत निर्वाचनका बेला उनले राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीका सभापति रवि लामिछानेलाई सहयोग गरेको बताइएको छ। फिल्म क्षेत्र र राजनीतिक वृत्त दुवैसँगको सम्बन्धका कारण उनको नियुक्तिलाई चासोका साथ हेरिएको छ।
The Council of Ministers has decided to appoint Manish Pandit as chairman of the Film Development Board. The decision came at the Friday meeting on Ashoj 30.
Eleven people had presented professional action plans for the post. From them, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology shortlisted Pandit, Naresh Kumar Poudel and Nisha Adhikari as the final three.
Pandit was involved in the process of bringing a box office system to the Board. He also played a role in introducing the box office software during the tenure of the then chair, Nikita Poudel.
Lately Pandit has also been in the news in political circles. He is reported to have helped Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Rabi Lamichhane during the last election. His ties to both the film world and politics have made the appointment one to watch.
