दसैंको टीकाअघि प्रदर्शनमा आएका अन्य फिल्मले अपेक्षित व्यापार गर्न नसकेपछि ठूलो आशा गरिएको फिल्म ‘कबड्डी ५’ ले घरेलु बक्स अफिसमा सुनामी ल्याएको छ। कात्तिक ६ गते प्रदर्शनमा आएको यस फिल्मले वर्षकै सबैभन्दा ठूलो ओपनिङ गर्दै पहिलो दिनमै झन्डै २ करोड कमाएको थियो।
निर्माण कम्पनी बाँसुरी फिल्म्सले सार्वजनिक गरेको आधिकारिक विवरणअनुसार फिल्मले प्रदर्शनको ५ दिनमा ७ करोड रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको ग्रस व्यापार गरेको छ। निर्माता मणिराम पोखरेलका अनुसार दसैंको बिदा सकिएपछि पनि फिल्मले दैनिक १ करोड रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको व्यापार गरिरहेको छ।
प्रर्दशनको छैटौँ दिनमा आइपुग्दा पनि फिल्मले देशव्यापी रूपमा २ सयभन्दा बढी शो पाएको छ जसमा करिब ४० प्रतिशत शो हाउसफुल रहेका छन्। दिउँसो र साँझका शोमा उच्च अकुपेन्सी देखिएका कारण फिल्मले छैटौँ दिनमा समेत करोड हाराहारीको व्यापार गर्ने निश्चित देखिएको छ। यही गतिमा व्यापार भए आगामी शनिबारसम्म फिल्मले १० करोडको आँकडा पार गर्ने अनुमान गरिएको छ।
यसैबीच, देशकै ठूलो मल्टिप्लेक्स चेन क्यूएफएक्सले प्रदर्शनको दुई दिनमै फिल्मलाई ‘सुपरहिट’ घोषणा गरिसकेको छ। क्यूएफएक्सको इतिहासमा दुई दिनमै सुपरहिटको मान्यता पाउने ‘कबड्डी ५’ पहिलो नेपाली फिल्म बनेको छ। रामबाबु गुरुङको निर्देशन रहेको यस फिल्ममा दयाहाङ राई, विपिन कार्की, विजय बराल, बुद्धि तामाङ, मिरुना मगर, रिश्मा गुरुङलगायतका थुप्रै चर्चित कलाकारहरूको अभिनय रहेको छ।
After preceding pre-Dashain releases fell short of expectations, 'Kabaddi 5' has created a massive tsunami at the domestic box office. Released on Kartik 6, the film secured the year's biggest opening, grossing nearly Rs 2 crore on its very first day.
According to official figures released by production banner Basuri Films, the movie crossed the Rs 7 crore gross milestone within just 5 days of its release. Producer Maniram Pokharel noted that the film continues to maintain a strong daily collection of over Rs 1 crore even after the conclusion of the Dashain holidays.
On its sixth day, the film has retained over 200 shows nationwide, with approximately 40% reporting houseful occupancies. Strong audience turnout during afternoon and evening screenings ensures another strong collection. Maintaining this steady pace, the film is projected to cross the Rs 10 crore mark by Saturday.
Additionally, Nepal's largest multiplex chain, QFX Cinemas, declared the film a "Superhit" within just two days of release—making it the first Nepali film to achieve this milestone so quickly. Directed by Rambabu Gurung, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Dayahang Rai, Bipin Karki, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Miruna Magar, and Rishma Gurung, among others.
